Find out what to expect when you decide to get Invisalign in Honolulu.

Ready to find out whether Invisalign is the right way to straighten your smile? Learn all about the process and what you can expect when you Invisalign come in for treatment.

Consultation: The first step to getting a straighter smile is to visit your Honolulu dentist. You're in luck, because Dr. Ken Yasuhara is an Invisalign-trained provider. Since we will be working together to get you a healthier smile, it’s important that you feel comfortable working with us on a regular basis. During your consultation, we will examine your smile and talk to you about your treatment goals to see if Invisalign is the right option for you. Feel free to ask questions at any time during your consultation.

Creating a treatment plan: Once your Honolulu dentist has deemed you appropriate for Invisalign, the next step is to take impressions and X-rays of your smile to help us create a 3-D image of your teeth. We will then use these images to create a customized treatment plan to get you the smile you want. Your treatment plan will even include the specific movements of your teeth and the possible length of time it will take to get your straighter smile.

First Fitting: Once the impressions have been taken and Dr. Yasuhara has created your very own treatment plan, we will then send this information to an Invisalign lab where they will begin fabricating your aligners. Once this is complete, we will have you come in for an initial fitting to make sure your aligners fit your smile properly. We will also give you full instructions for how to care for your Invisalign.

Wearing your Invisalign: You will wear each aligner for about two weeks, after which you will replace your old aligners with the next set in your treatment series. During this time you will also see your Honolulu dentist every four to six weeks to make sure your treatment is progressing, as it should.

You will also wear your aligners for the majority of the day—about 20 to 22 hours—only removing them to eat, drink, brush and floss. With each new set of aligners you put in you will begin to see a steady transformation.

Have you decided it’s time to get Invisalign? If so, then it’s time to schedule a consultation with your Honolulu dentist. Let us get you that beautiful, award-winning smile.
